With my maternity leave winding down and the reality of the forty hour work week on the horizon I’m checking off my list of good mommy-housewife things to do. I’ve knitted and sewn, crocheted and baked and am only a set of cross-country skis away from earning my proper Norwegian housewife badge.

Today’s task was baking knekkebrød or «flatbread» and boy was it yummy with a few slices of brown cheese on top.
